It is always risky to have a child after 35.  The higher the age, with, of course, the use of your own eggs, the larger the risk of having a downs child.

Boy, I'd sure ask my OB/GYN.....

Quite frankly, I'm not sure I'd want to raise a child at 18...when I was 70.

I have trouble keeping a dog.... so I don't.

Good luck.

Oh my goodness.  I'm a grandma.  If I had a baby, my child would be my grandson's uncle?  That would be weird.  Haha... I know I don't have the energy for a full-time baby at my age.  If you do, I give you lots of credit.

I'm Peri--menopausal - lots of hormonal changes.  I'm afraid I would put the baby down somewhere and forget where I put it!
I don't know about the age thing, but I know several women who conceived and delivered healthy babies after WLS.

It is a fact that many people get pregnant easier after WLS, After 50 I don't know the statistics.  I'm pretty certain that most people wouldn't be as fertile after 50, as well as the chance of having a Down's baby.  Personally, I would eat ground glass and have my eyes gouged out with a hot poker! LOL!! just kidding. I would probably ride a donkey to Bethlehem to have it , as it would definitely be a divine thing!!   I'm raising at 2yr old at almost 55 and I can attest that it is very difficult.  The good thing about it is I didn't have to give birth to her.  I'm sure it is very different raising a grandchild than a birth child.  Babies are always a blessing!!!!!  God Bless You,   Deb
